New Moon in Aquarius. ♥

Credit
Hi everyone ♥ I've decided to start my blog with a post about things to do during the New Moon~ I'm not very experienced with astrology, but I hope you enjoy these ideas!

Tonight is the second New Moon in Aquarius of 2015. The New Moon is when the moon has gone dark after waning. It's a perfect time for magickal workings involving self-improvement, new beginnings, and relationships.

☆ Do a little divination - always a good idea! Pull out the Tarot cards, pendulums or runes and see what the next 28 days of the lunar cycle have in store for you.

☆ New Moons are perfect for a fresh start. Have you been meaning to start a new hobby? Use the energies of the New Moon to motivate you!

☆ Refresh yourself with a lovely cleansing bath with some herbs, sea salt and candles!

☆ Manifest! You can meditate, write, or collage the things you'd like to welcome into your life. Personally I love writing wishlists and using a 'wish box' to manifest the things I desire.

☆ Start a Moon diary to help you become more aware of the moon's phases and its effects on your life. Write down the current lunar phase, your feelings & thoughts, and anything else that comes to mind!

☆ Clean up your altar or the place where you do your magickal workings. Sprinkle a little salt, set up quartz crystals, or burn incense/sage to purify the space once everything's tidy.

☆ Take a look at your life and resolve to release anything that isn't helping you.

☆ New Moon in Aquarius is a great time for communication. If you'd like to strengthen your relationships & communications with your loved ones, put together a communication spell with opalite and mint.

☆ Work on some healing magick for any areas of your life that require healing.

☆ For a simple ritual, light a black candle and enjoy a cup of herbal tea as you reflect on the things you wish to accomplish & draw into your life.

  1. Cheers to the new blog!

When I trim my hair it's always on the new moon, since that's supposed to help it grow longer and healthier. And I always light a black candle for the new moon, because, ah...I like black candles.
keeping a lunar diary is a cool idea; maybe I'll try that tonight

    1. Thanks, love! I think you've told me before about trimming your hair on the New Moon~ because it sounds familiar. I've never kept a lunar diary either, but I've always meant to....I guess the New Moon is as good a time to start as any, ha ha!

  2. I have always found myself drawn to Tarot cards. I had a deck of not Tarot, but a type of divination cards, many years ago, and I liked how just the act of shuffling and laying them out seemed to help me to clear my head and tackle whatever challenge caused me to pull them out in the first place.
