June's Full Moon Goals & Link-up

Hi everyone!

I've decided to make my 'Full Moon Goals' series into a monthly link-up that fellow members of our witchy/spiritual blogging community can join! [Shout-out to Melyssa of the Nectar Collective for her handy guide on starting a link-up =)] There'll be more on the link-up at the bottom of the post~

Here are my goals to achieve on June's Full Moon and in the days [/weeks!] following.

☆ Charge my crystals for the 'Intuitively Chosen Gemstones' swap under the full moon. I'm really excited for this swap!

☆ Re-pot all of my herbs and find a new place for them to hang out. They're currently grouped on the porch of my barn, which is getting a bit cluttered!

☆ Purchase the Lllewellyn's Sabbats Essentials #3: Midsummer book and read it before the Solstice. I've purchased the last two books for Beltane and Ostara, but I barely cracked 'em open.

☆ Take photos of my stock for The Faolan Girl and list everything on my Facebook page. [I've really been slacking on this.]

☆ Find all of my Tarot & oracle decks, and give 'em all a good cleaning!

~

If you'd like to join in, please take a look at the rules!

How to Cleanse Your Tarot Cards.

Sometimes your readings just don't make sense! When your readings are jumbled, or the energy is off or not there at all, then it's time to give your cards a good cleansing. Below are several of my favourite ways to cleanse my cards.

☆. Placing them in order.
This is probably the easiest way to cleanse your cards. I do this in between most readings. Simply place your cards in order (The Major Arcana from 1 - 21 and the Minor Arcana from Ace to King) and put them back into their bag / box!

☆ Sea salt.
Salt is used for purification and dispelling negative energy, so it makes sense to use it on your cards! I like to sprinkle a few grains over my cards to 'soak up' the negative energy. You can also bury your cards in a bowl of salt.

☆ Crystals.
Using a clear quartz crystal to dispel negative energy is always a great idea, but you can also place any of your favourite crystals in your cards' bag / box. The crystals in this photo are amethyst, rose quartz and smokey quartz.

☆ Pendulum.
Hold a pendulum over your deck and allow it to circle until it stops moving. When it has stopped, your deck has been cleared of all negative energy.
Witch's note: I do not recommend allowing your kitty anywhere near your Tarot cards. Meme chewed up my Shadowscape Tarot a while ago and immediately after this photo was taken, he began to eat the pendulum.

☆ Sage.

In the same way that you'd smudge your home or sacred place, you can smudge your cards to cleanse the energy. Hold your cards above the smoke to cleanse them. [Do not hold your smudge stick / bowl over your cards in case of sparks!]

How do you like to cleanse your cards? Let me know in the comments!

Blessings,
Faula

April's Full Moon Goals - Progress Update.

Let's take a look at my goals for April's Full Moon that I had intended to finish by May's Full Moon~

☆ Get my current stock for The Faolan Girl charged under the moonlight. Done! I usually place all my magickal goodies on the porch to soak up the moon's energies~ where do you put yours?

Decide on a new design for the magick box I'll be making for the Fair. Done! I decided on a Celtic-style pentacle.

☆ Reassess my witchy bookshelf before my shopping trip and rehome any books I no longer read if necessary! Not done! However, I did buy a book about flower magick, and a book about Beltane =)
☆ Do a release ritual tonight to release anything that no longer benefits my life and well-being. Not done either =(!

☆ Update my Witchvox profile, reach out to fellow witches and hopefully make some new friends!! Yes! I've started e-mail correspondences with several witches and I've made more of an effort to keep in touch with my witchy friends =)

How did your goals for the Full Moon work out? Did you make any goals for the Flower Moon?
Blessings,
Faula.

Beltane Blessings ♥!

I always need to put my own spin on things, so my floral crown is a rose & studs headband.
Hello everyone! I hope you're having a lovely Beltane [~or a lovely Samhain if you're in the Southern hemisphere!] Today is also my sister's birthday.

Here are a few rather non-traditional ways I'll be celebrating [or have been celebrating] Beltane!

♥ Went out for lunch with my sister to a lovely restaurant we haven't been to in years. The Denver sandwich was so good!

♥ I'll be choosing a tree to decorate with a little faerie door & knick-knacks later! Then I plan to let my niece 'discover' it, and we'll use it to leave offerings in the future =)

♥ I made a little stone bag for someone with an imbalance in their throat chakra. My body spray opened up in my purse and got all over the bag, so now it smells pretty!

♥ I convinced my sister to buy Song of the Sea for my niece and I, and my niece is watching it right now. We just watched it yesterday, but it's such a lovely, magickal film that I don't mind watching it again!

♥ Cake is a good way to celebrate ANYTHING, and for my sister's birthday tonight we'll be having strawberry ice cream cake. Yum!

♥ Later we'll hopefully be having a bonfire! I'm going to make a few herb sachets to burn in the fire, and then we'll have s'mores =D

♥ Of course, I intend to play Beltane Fire Dance on repeat all day. It just wouldn't be Beltane without it.

“We too can begin a new life, one that brings satisfaction and enrichment, whether this is by singing, dancing, running through the waves, walking barefoot on the grass or making love under the stars. Perhaps your dreams are greater than this, or perhaps more conservative, but whatever they are, Beltane is a wonderful time for expressing who you truly are.” ~ Carole Carlton.

How are you celebrating the Sabbat? Let me know in the comments! [If you're still not sure how to celebrate, check out my Beltane Activities post.]

Brightest of blessings,
Faula.
