April's Full Moon Goals Link-up ☆

Hello everyone!

My apologies for not posting the last link-up~ March was a busy month for me as I took in three new piggies and started a new job.

Here are the goals I hope to achieve by May's Full Moon!

☆ Choose two witchy books to read for May's Reading List. I had hoped that sharing my reading list on the blog would encourage me to read more....and it's working! But as this is a witchy blog, I think I should incorporate a few more witchy books to my lists =)

☆ Research wands and how to make them.
Ooh, I'm so excited! The female character in 'So You Want to be a Wizard' made a wand from a rowan tree after asking permission and it made me realize I still don't have a wand after all these years!

☆ Make connections at the Mind Body Spirit Fair. Ooh, I'm excited for this. The Fair is on May 1st and I have an exciting new line that I'm hoping will go over well. I'm also hoping to make connections with likeminded people in the hopes of maybe starting a circle AND seeing if anyone might be interested in a fortune telling shop here in town...eee!

Sharnie is taking a break from blogging so she won't be participating in this month's link-up. I'm hoping to find a fellow Pagan blogger or two who would be interested in joining! You can blog on any platform to join, as long as it supports HTML so you can add the link-back button below =)

Would you like to join this month's Link-up? If you're new to link-ups, here's a great how-to post!

Love & Light Chakra Swap

Hi guys!

Today I'm sharing photos of a package one of my sisters sent me =) When I created my new swap group, Sisters of the Moon, I had a very specific 'aesthetic' in mind. I knew that Cécile's lovely chakra-centered swaps would fit in perfectly! I reached out to her regarding it and she ended up hosting the 'Love & Light Chakra Swap' for us.

My partner was Mandy, who sent me a lovely package for Christmas. She always puts so much love and enthusiasm into her gifts. I knew this one was going to be special! I grabbed a pair of scissors to cut open a corner....and immediately stuck my nose into the hole and inhaled. Whatever was in that package smelled amazing!

All of the goodies together!

Each tag was stamped on one side with the loveliest stamps.

Of course, I had to take pictures of all of them...

Eee, loved the owl!

The dreamcatcher was my mom's favourite =3

And then I opened up my goodies! I just chose at random. The first one I opened was for the sacral chakra. Mandy created this little terrarium with orange aventurine for me to use during meditation. I will take a better pic of it in the future~

For the solar plexus, Mandy sent this ah-mazing yellow aventurine pendant, as well as a little leaf made from an animal horn. Yellow aventurine had so many properties that I really needed in my life.

A piece of protection jewelry for the third eye~ featuring the evil eye, of course! How did Mandy know this is one of my fav symbols?!

The root chakra gift had the source of the awesome smell~ these incredible cherry & rose incense sticks! They are handmade by a local woman in Mandy's town. You guys seriously can't believe how great these smell. Mandy says they're long-burning although I haven't lit on yet. All of the tissue paper smells like these sticks, so I'm using the paper to scent all my drawers =3

For the throat chakra, Mandy spoiled me with tea! She sent me Yogi Detox tea [I've always wanted to try more Yogi yet], and Sweet Dreams tea from Bigelow. The Bigelow tea smells soo good. I haven't tried the Detox tea yet.

For the heart chakra, Mandy made me a keychain featuring an iridescent heart and a long black tassel. The heart features all the chakra colours when you move it around!

We sent seeds for the crown chakra, and Mandy chose these gorgeous delphiniums for me. It's so nice to dream of planting these when there is a snowstorm currently raging outside my window...ha ha!

And a few goodies! Moss agate & Indian jasper beads which I realized I can also use for gridding, and a little snail to hold my tea bag in my mug! [You guys don't even know how excited I am about this snail.] Thanks for such an amazing package, Mandy!

Blessings,
Faula

My April Reading List

Hello!

My goal for March was to read (at least) four books....I ended up reading eleven.

I did not, unfortunately, read the Tea Leaf Reading for Beginners. I have a bad habit of reading series and trilogies that demand my entire attention as opposed to stand-alone books. I think it's just easier for me to work my way through a series (when I gave all the books) instead of trying to pick out separate books to read.

I'm expanding my goal just slightly this month! I have a lovely job where I can read when it's not so busy. I imagine the summer months will be keeping me pretty busy so I should get a head start on my reading challenge now!

My April Reading List~

The Good Cat Spell Book by Gillian Kemp. I've had this book for about a year and I haven't even opened it!

The Dead of Night and A Killing Frost by John Marsden. I am obsessed with the movie Tomorrow When the War Began. I only just read the first book a few months ago. I decided to purchase the next two in the series to continue reading and hopefully I'll purchase the rest along the way!

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs. Reread the first book and fell in love with it all over again, and then discovered the second book wasn't far! Now I'll need to buy the third book....

Ink by Amanda Sun. It's cherry blossom season, and that makes me went to read my favourite book series that is set in Japan! I haven't read the third book yet so rereading the first two will give me a chance to do so =)

Deep Wizardry by Diane Duane. My purse mysteriously dumped out all my books and I haven't been able to find them so this one is missning from the pic. BUT I've had this book and the first book, So You Want To Be a Wizard, on my shelf for ages. I didn't realize I had never read the second book! Duane's writing is so enjoyable. The second book deals with the sea so I'm very interested to finish it =)

I really need to start working through my witchy bookshelf. Hopefully I can start reading two - three witchy books a month. I like sticking to just one subject when I'm studying. I'd really like to read my herbalism books to prepare myself for a workshop I'm doing in June buut I think I'll wait until next month to do so.

What are you reading this month?

Blessings,
Faula
