Welcome to My Magick Shop ☆

Hana on my outdoor altar ♥
Making magick has always been a passion of mine~ sharing it with others, even more so. I started out doing card readings & making spell bags for my friends. A few years ago I started to sell online, first on Bonanza and then on Storenvy. Finally I settled on The Faolan Girl FB page last year. I accept payment via Paypal and I ship worldwide. Today I wanted to share my magickal goodies with you!

The Rider-Waite Tarot deck.
The Shadowscapes Tarot deck.
Divinatory readings. Price range: CAD $7.50 - $16.50.

Card readings are by far my favourite. I have several decks that I like to use - The Rider-Waite, the Hanson-Roberts, the Shadowscapes, Tarot of the Pagan Cats and the Raven's Prophecy. If my client isn't particular about which deck to use, then I use whichever deck feels right to me. (I also use several oracle decks, but I haven't offered those readings for sale yet.)

'Kimono Doll' Tarot bag.
Card & stone bags. Price range: CAD $5.50 - $15.50

My card & stone bags are all 'hand-stitched by a witch' and such a lovely project to spend an afternoon on. This particular bag comes with the crystals [but not the deck], whereas other bags can be purchased without the crystals. I prefer using my hand-made bags to hold my beloved decks as opposed to something that has been mass-produced.

Money, Love, Love & Protection. All sold~
Spell bottles. Price range: CAD $6.50 - $21.50

Spell bottles are a private way to bring magick into your life. They're tiny enough to be tucked into a secure pouch and not call much attention to themselves. My most popular bottles are Love, Money & Insight. Personally I love the Protection bottles~ so powerful! I keep my own spell bottles on my altar. My bestie keeps hers in a lovely organza bag with some crystals to enhance their magick.

Anti-negativity spell bag.
Spell bags. Price range - CAD $10.50 - $20.50

I usually sell spell bags on order~ They cost more than the spell bottles because they contain crystals as well as herbs. Most of my spell bags are made with cloth but this one was made in an organza bag. I enjoy taking on custom orders such as a transition spell bag I completed a few months ago, and a strictly-crystal spell bag I made for a pregnant woman.

Amethyst, rose quartz & tiger's eye.
Jewelry. Price range - CAD $6.50 - $10.50
Gemstone jewelry is such a lovely way to bring certain qualities into your life. I wear my rose quartz pendant every day to remind me of self-love. I current have crystal pendants and quartz point bracelets for sale, with chip bracelets coming soon.

'Tranquility' magickal bath blend.
Magickal bath blends. Prince: CAD $8.50

Magickal bath blends are a new addition to The Faolan Girl. Adding a little magickal intention to everything I do has become second nature to me, and after doing it to a few baths I figured why not introduce it to my shop as well? Each jar comes with a wee charged tea light. These are currently only available in jars which makes shipping expensive. I am looking into packaging them in muslin bags or envelopes for easier shipping.

'Triple Moon' magick box.
Magick boxes are another new addition~ I've recently discovered a love for wood burning! My first two boxes [for sale at the Fair] are filled with magickal items you'd need for magick on the go - white candles, a trio of crystals, a baggy of sage, two vials of herbs and one vial of salt, and one bundle of incense. (The sage & crystals are in organza bags but were taken out for the sake of the photo.) I'd also like to start making themed sets for different Sabbats, Gods/Goddesses, and spellwork!

My business card!
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my magick shop! If you'd like to follow my shop or place an order, you can find my Facebook page here.

Blessings,
Faula.

Celebrating Beltane: Beltane Activities.

Hailed as the beginning of summer, Beltane is usually celebrated on April 30 or May 1. The flowers of the hawthorn tree are in bloom; the mantle of spring's culmination and summer's advent beautifies the radiant earth. Winter's chains are broken for good as the wheel of the years turns from winter to summer.

Love is in the air as bee carries pollen from blossom to aromatic blossom and honey drips from the comb. The sacred union of the goddess and the god is observed, and sexuality is celebrated as we regard our bodies as mirrors of the divine plan. The blazing flames of the great bonfire mirror the passion within our hearts. The tenderness of the new spring season transforms before our eyes into the lush fullness of new life taking hold and thriving.

Everywhere, in root and in flower, the proliferation of abundance on the earth is seen. Great fires are ignited, and the door to the Otherworld opens once again.

- Excerpted from Provenance Press's Guide To The Wiccan Year By Judy Ann Nock.

Beltane is one of my favourite Sabbats....when the weather is appropriate! Here are a few activities you can try =)

♥ Beltane is the second of the fire festivals, so celebrate with fire! You can enjoy a bonfire with your friends or light a few candles to use in your magick. Remember to be fire-safe and smart!

♥ Leave an offering for the faeries. [A great way to celebrate any Sabbat!]

♥ If you happen to have a large wooden pole handy, make a Maypole and dance around it! [There are also plenty of tutorials for mini Maypoles, so check those out as well to make one for your altar.]

♥ Collect flowers, decorate your house with them and hand them out to friends.

♥ Research flower and/or herb magick.

♥ Tie ribbons to tree branches, and make a wish for every ribbon you tie. This is a fun activity to do with young children.

♥ Wear flowers in your hair - whether real or fake, they still look lovely.

♥ Research faerie magick. Beltane is one of the Sabbats when the faeries are lurking about!

♥ Cook up a Beltane feast and enjoy it with your friends.

♥ Spend some time in your garden, tending to your plants and enjoying the weather.

How do you plan to celebrate Beltane? Let me know in the comments!

Blessings,
Faula

My Plans for April's Full Moon ☽Ⓞ☾

Hi everyone~ I love making goals, particularly on Sabbats and full moons! Here are my goals I hope to complete for April's Full Moon and the days following.

☆ Get my current stock for The Faolan Girl charged under the moonlight. I have several spell bags & spell bottles all ready to go.

☆ Decide on a new design for the magick box I'll be making for the Fair. I completely my first successful box yesterday and I'm feeling so inspired!

☆ Reassess my witchy bookshelf before my shopping trip and rehome any books I no longer read if necessary! I definitely need more books about moon magick & herbalism, and I could possibly clear out the general knowledge books I have.
☆ Do a release ritual tonight to release anything that no longer benefits my life and well-being.

☆ Update my Witchvox profile, reach out to fellow witches and hopefully make some new friends!!

What are your plans for the Full Moon? Let me know in the comments!

Blessings,
Faula.

Mystical Reviews: Tarot of the Pagan Cats.

Hi everyone ♥ Welcome to my latest series, Mystical Reviews. I'll be posting Tarot & Oracle deck reviews under this label.

My first review will be Tarot of the Pagan Cats by Lo Scarabeo. I purchased this lovely deck last summer when I was searching for a new deck online. My cats are a very important part of my life so it just made sense that I needed a Tarot deck with kitties on it!

I decided to purchase the mini version of this deck as I only have one other mini version [the Hanson-Roberts]. This deck arrived in a tiny box with a wee booklet explaining the meanings. Generally all Tarot interpretations are the same but I keep every booklet regardless. This particular booklet has two spreads created specifically for this deck. The box was really cute but I had no use for it. The deck fit perfectly in a little organza bag.

The cards themselves are beautiful and good quality. One of my favourite details is the trail of wee kitty paw prints that border the cards. The deck is based off the popular Rider-Waite deck in terms of symbolism and names, which makes it an easy deck for a beginner to transition to. There are a few details that make it more cat-specific; The Hanged Man is caught in a set of curtains, and the 7 of Chalices shows all the material desires a cat could want.

This deck has quickly become one of my favourites. I give it 5 out of 5 stars - and not just because I'm a cat lover! The miniature version is a comfortable size, the cards are beautifully illustrated and not too flimsy, and the familiar imagery makes them easy to read for novices and experienced readers alike. I highly recommend this lovely deck for anyone who's looking to expand their collection.

Blessings,
Faula.

Q&P: 7 Happy Chakras

Hi everyone ♥ Today's post will be the first under the label Quills and Parchment, where I will be showing the packages I receive from my swap group.

I run a witchy swapping group on Swap-bot called Quills and Parchment. The members are some of the kindest, loveliest people I've ever met. [Membership is open so feel free to join!] The swaps I've received so far have been amazing so I figured it's time to show them off.

Today's package was for the 7 Happy Chakras swap that Cécile hosted. This was a fun swap designed to attract positive energy and stimulate the chakras. I had so much fun putting my own package together! I sent my package to Cécile but didn't take many photos of it~ Today I received Kristina's package so I took many photos to share with you!

Such a pretty card!

For the Root chakra~

I collect feathers although I don't think I wrote that on my profile. Kristina sent me these amazing hand-painted feathers that will look lovely on my altar!

For the Sacral chakra~ something to energize and re-charge.

Incense sticks & a holder. The incense smells SO lovely although I can't quite place it!

For the Solar Plexus chakra~ a profile-based surprise. [How amazing is this little handmade bag?!]

An owl-shaped tea infuser! Eee! Seriously, I squealed when I opened this up. Owls & tea are my favourite things in the entire world. I can't wait to use this little guy!!

For the Heart chakra~ something heart-shaped.

A pretty little heart necklace! The stone is dumortierite, which happens to be one of my favourite stones to work with.

For the Throat chakra~ a package of tea.

Kristina spoiled me with a box of Garden Harvest White Tea. I received one of these little packages in a previous swap and I loved it. I'm so excited to have five new flavours to try out!

For the Third Eye chakra~ Something to use during meditation.

Okay, this is SO cool. Sabbat Flying Ointment! It smells deliciously witchy, too!

For the Crown chakra~ a beautiful crystal.

Once again, Kristina absolutely spoiled me by gifting me this gorgeous amethyst pendulum!

Something extra!

I LOVE all supernatural fiction~ so Kristina sent me a book from a series she likes. It's about elemental assassins and sounds super fab. I can't wait to start reading it.

I really can't thank Kristina enough for this lovely package. It arrived on the perfect day - today I was feeling uneasy and kept having un-triggered panic attacks. Opening this package full of goodies took my mind off everything and helped me calm down. Also, the way Kristina wrapped everything so nicely has inspired me to branch outside my usual 'tissue paper and washi tape'!

I'm blessed to have such a wonderful community of sister-witches and friends. If you'd like to join Quills and Parchment on Swap-bot, please do. We'd be so happy to have you!

Brightest of blessings,
Faula.

Ask Faula: How to Celebrate a Magickal Birthday.

A few weeks ago I received this comment from a reader, Angelina:

"I have no clue what to do for my birthday this year, I'm a little out of practice but I know I want to do something special and magical. Do you have any ideas for me?"

She then went on to describe how she fell out of practice and is trying to get back on the right path for her.

I thought up a few ways for Angelina to celebrate her birthday in a witchy fashion [specifically relating to reaffirming her faith and celebrating the Spring Equinox] and today I'm sharing them with you!

☆ Reaffirm your dedication to your Craft. You can do a simple dedication page in your BoS, or a more elaborate ritual celebrating the Goddess.

☆ Bless a lovely piece of jewelery or a crystal that you can carry around with you. Imbue it with qualities of love and light.

☆ Read your cards [or swing your pendulum, or read your tea leaves, or whichever your favoured form of divination is] to see what the coming year has in store for you.

☆ Manifest! Create a list of all the things you'd love to draw into your life this year. I like to keep my 'wishes' in a little box I call my wish box, but you can jot yours down in your BoS, on a strip of paper pinned to the wall, or even in your phone. Just remember to look at it every so often to remind yourself of your dreams.

☆ If you haven't found 'im yet, find your spirit guide! I like to meditate outdoors and ask for my spirit guide to appear to me. When I was younger, dragonflies & butterflies were my guides. A few years ago I met the Raven and he's been with me ever since. A spirit guide is a lovely ally to have at your side.

☆ Use the energies of the Spring Equinox to start planning your garden. I personally love the idea of using a plant to 'grow' my magick. Simply choose a seed [it can correspond with your theme, or it can be whatever you have on hand], cast your spell, and then plant the seed. Your magick will grow as the plant grows.

☆ Banish your fears & bad habits. I like to do this in the simplest way possible - Write a negative quality on a piece of paper and burn it, either in a cauldron or a bonfire.

☆ Make a list of witchy goals you'd like to achieve before your next birthday. I'm big on goal-making! Maybe you'd like to learn how to read tea leaves, or harvest and dry your herbs this Fall, or attend a Pagan festival. Write 'em down and make them happen! [This also ties in with 'manifesting'! Energy flows where attention goes.]

~~

If you have a question you'd like me to feature, feel free to leave me a comment =)

Blessings,
Faula
